Morpheus8™ in Pasadena, CA

What Is Morpheus8™?

The interest in non-invasive cosmetic procedures continues to rise, driven primarily by patients’ desire for quicker, more convenient options and advances in cosmetic surgery technology. There is now a wide variety of non-surgical options that can safely and effectively remove wrinkles, reduce loose skin, and restore youthful contours.

InModeMD’s Morpheus8™ skin treatment is a great option for Los Angeles area patients seeking skin rejuvenation and ways to reduce signs of aging without having to go under the knife. It uses fractionated radio-frequency (RF) heat to immediately shrink the skin and stimulate natural collagen production, which acts like an internal glue, further tightening the skin over time. Morpheus8™ can safely reach even the deepest layers of skin and tissue, reducing excess fat and rejuvenating the face and neck in a matter of minutes.

What Are The Benefits of Morpheus8™ Treatment?

Morpheus8™ treatments can be used on nearly any skin type. Even patients with darker skin tones, who are typically told to avoid laser or RF treatments for fear of affecting their pigmentation, can safely use Morpheus8™ to rejuvenate their skin. Treatments are effective throughout the entire body, but Morpheus8™ is typically used to restore contours along the face and neck. Morpheus8™ treatments also stimulate new skin cell growth by boosting the skin’s natural collagen production, which leads to better-looking skin.

Candidates for Morpheus8™ treatments include patients who struggle with:

  • Deep wrinkles and creases in the lower face and neck
  • Fatty deposits along the jawline or chin
  • “Jowls” along the neck
  • Loose or sagging skin
  • Discoloration of the skin
  • Acne or other dermal scars

How Does Morpheus8™ Work?

Morpheus8™ treatments use a special device fitted with 24 tiny, silicone-coated pins that penetrate into and under the skin to heat it using RF energy. The heat deeply penetrates the fat and skin underneath, contracting the connective tissues and tightening fat and skin to essentially “mold” new contours.

RF energy also stimulates collagen production, leading to new skin cell growth over time and skin that is more supple and smooth long-term. Morpheus8™ skin treatments can be used on nearly any part of the body but are particularly effective at tightening and contouring detailed areas such as the face and neck.

The Morpheus8™ device can be programmed to different levels of intensity, depending on the thickness of the skin and tissue treated. Treatments typically take between a few minutes and one hour to complete, but repeated sessions may be needed, depending on the desired results. Generally, most patients will require two to three sessions, spaced about a month apart, for the best outcome.

What is Morpheus8™ Recovery Like?

Morpheus8™ treatments usually result in little to no downtime. The device is designed to powerfully penetrate under the skin’s surface without causing lasting damage. There may be some redness or skin irritation right after treatments are completed. Irritation may last for a few days, but most patients are able to use makeup and go back to work within 24 hours after a treatment. Skin care routines can be restarted within a week after treatments.

What Results Can I Expect From Morpheus8™ Treatment?

The benefits of Morpheus8™ begin to show within days after the first treatment. After any irritation has subsided, patients will see skin that is brighter, smoother, and with tighter contours. After about three weeks, the results are even more noticeable. Morpheus8™ treatments stimulate the skin’s own natural collagen production, so improvement continues even months after sessions are completed. Improvements are especially noticeable when treatments are used along the face and neck, but Morpheus8™ treatments are equally effective on other areas of the body. Morpheus8™ can also be combined with other procedures, including facelift surgery, FaceTite™, AccuTite™, and injectable fillers to achieve further enhancement.

Morpheus8™ Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take to see Morpheus8™ results?

Each patient is different, with visible results depending on the initial condition of your skin and your goals for the procedure. Immediately after your Morpheus8™ treatment, your skin will appear slightly flushed but hydrated and glowing. Your skin will be protected with an antibacterial gel or hydrating cream, and you’ll be asked not to touch your skin for the first few hours to protect it from infection.

As your skin heals, you’ll start to see the final results of your procedure. Since collagen takes time to build up in the body, most patients see their tissue remodeling results about a month or so after their first treatment, while surface-level improvements can appear earlier.

  • How many Morpheus8™ treatments will I need?

This depends on your goals for the procedure as well as the level of necessary correction. Most patients require about one to three sessions for ideal results, with one to two additional sessions per year as maintenance. However, everyone is different, so after your consultation with your Morpheus8™ provider, you’ll be able to get a better understanding of the treatment numbers needed.

  • How do I take care of my skin after Morpheus8™ treatments?

Immediately after your appointment, you’ll need to leave your skin alone for at least 12 hours. Try not to touch it or put any cosmetics on until then. The next day, you can resume your normal skin care routine, omitting harsh exfoliants or acids for a while yet. Makeup is ok, too. Be sure to keep your skin very well hydrated with nourishing moisturizer to aid it in healing. Lastly, be sure to always protect your skin with a good SPF. Sun damage causes a host of issues for the skin, so protecting your skin is the best way to maintain your Morpheus8™ results.
